The Overland Park Civic Band

More than 75 Years of Excellence

The band was organized in 1938 as the Northeast Johnson County Community Band, with Mr. John Francis as the first conductor. James P. Kelly followed Mr. Francis in 1953, and was succeeded by Dr. David Circle, George Alter, Frank Fendorf and Cletson Cox, the present conductor. In 2012, the group celebrated its 75th Anniversary, with some of its membership having participated for multiple decades.

The Overland Park Civic Band would like to thank the City of Overland Park for it's continued sponsorship. Come listen to some crowd-pleasing music. All concerts are free to the public.
